I hate this subreddit.
It depends on the character?? Obviously??? What kind of question is this.
Like, say someone tells him that's he's chicken for not trying to become a professional daredevil, and someone else tells him that he's chicken for not trying to become an acclaimed film director?
This is so dumb. What version of BttF did this person watch where Marty McFly was a robot easily defeated by logical contradictions?
Then there’s the constant influx of Death Note questions that could easily be answered by watching the show/reading the manga/looking at the list of Death Note rules itself, lmao.
- [Death Note] Death Note rules clearly state "The human who uses this note can go neither to Heaven nor to Hell."
- [Death Note] What happens if someone has a really common name?
- [Death Note] Can the death note be used to get information?
- [Death Note] What if this was written in the Death Note: "John Doe will die by tripping, and their blood splatter on the ground will coincidentally be mostly splashed in the direction of the person who I know as L"
- [Death Note] What happens if you write down a young person will die of old age?
- [Death note]what would happen if a crazy user of the bookstore wrote something like "this person will die in the next 10 minutes because of a category 15 earthquake", so that the earth would be totally destroyed?
I mean, there’ve been some interesting Death Note questions, but most of them are just inane.
Good posts
Some fun Death Note questions
Would the Death Note work on Batman without knowing he is Bruce Wayne?
tl;dr is it depends. I’m also curious how the Death Note handles legal name changes.
Extremely silly, but in a way that I like.
Could a dog door be considered an implicit invitation inside for vampires?
I’ve been on a bit of a vampire kick lately (mostly Buffy and 80s vampire movies) and a handful of them have meddled with the concept of non-explicit invitations into the home. With that, I wonder if a dog door (without the closing cover) could be considered an implied invitation since it’s open 24/7? I haven’t seen any show/movie/book explore this specific scenario and I wanted to see if anyone had further insight.
This one’s funny and rather unique for the sub. It also results in some fun discussion.

Not anymore than a slightly open window would.
The doggy door is an invitation for the family dog to enter as they please. Unless the vampire considers itself their pet dog, it’s not even an implied invitation.
u/drLagrangian:
How about this scenario:
The vampire, transformed into a wolf (as some do) gets mistaken as a husky and invited in as a pet. Bound by the rules of doggy dogma, the vampire now is only able to assume the dog form inside the house, and chooses to protect the family's and get it's food elsewhere.

I would suggest that if the vampire can speak with animals, a common power, they could potentially contact the family dog through the doggy door, and arrange for a bribe of meat to be allowed to come in. If the dog is a family member, and asks them to come in, why wouldn't that count?
