I figure she didn’t turn him down. She just kept demanding more and more sheep. Waving her hand in a “keep ’em coming” motion.
By the time the Oronir had forked over several dozen sheep, Magnai finally realized, “This is not the Nhaama I am looking for.”
And Cotota lived happily ever after in Reunion with her massive herd of sheep.
