I have a couple of past-life-type OCs I’m working on. One is Nemesis, who bears the soul that would go on to become Zenos. He held the seat of Nabriales for some time but always felt kinda unfulfilled by it.
He met Azem in some kind of shonen anime circumstance and wound up realizing his true life’s calling was to travel the world like them, so he resigned his seat to do just that. He and Azem met and worked together many times after that. They tried to stop the Final Days without sacrificing half the population, which… yeah.
There’s also Cydonia. She was a scholar of Creation magic, and an acquaintance (and perhaps ex-lover?) of Athena… who I h/c as having the same soul as Nero. Cydonia has Cid’s soul. Athena thought they had a rivalry going on; Cyd did not think so. But when Athena started being all Weird and Evil, they fell out of touch. Every so often Cyd would wonder what ever happened to her. And then she returned to the star in time to miss seeing the Final Days.
